Whole School Homework Challenge
As part of our whole‑school focus on health and wellbeing, all pupils were invited to take part in our Healthy Body, Healthy Mind Homework Challenge. The aim of the challenge was to encourage children to think about what helps them stay healthy, happy and balanced—both at school and at home.
Children were offered a choice of four creative activities, giving every child the chance to express their ideas in a way that suited their interests and strengths:
-
Create Your Own Healthy Eating Mascot
Pupils designed imaginative characters to promote healthy food choices and encourage others to enjoy a balanced diet. -
Design a Healthy Body/Healthy Mind Poster
Children produced bright, thoughtful posters sharing important messages about caring for both physical and mental wellbeing. -
“This Is My Place” Art Activity
This activity invited pupils to create artwork inspired by a place that makes them feel calm, safe or happy—celebrating the importance of personal spaces and emotional wellbeing. -
Write a Poem for Healthy Body/Healthy Mind
Learners expressed themselves through poetry, reflecting on what helps them stay healthy inside and out.
We were delighted to see the effort, creativity and enthusiasm the children brought to each activity. Their work shows a thoughtful understanding of how to look after both body and mind.
